What is Watchd?
Watchd is a free iPhone app for tracking TV shows, movies and anime. It works without an account: your watch history stays on your device. It shows which episode you stopped at, a calendar of upcoming episodes and your watch stats.
Is Watchd free?
Yes, Watchd is completely free. It has no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account for Watchd?
No. There’s nothing to sign up for or log in to: install the app and start adding shows and movies.
Where is my Watchd data stored?
On your iPhone. Your library, episode progress, ratings and lists are stored only on the device: Watchd has no server with user data. To show details about movies and shows, the app requests them from TMDB. It sends search queries and title IDs, without your name or any other personal data. Trailers load from YouTube.
You can save a copy of your library to a file: Profile → Data → “Backup”.
Is Watchd available on Android or on the web?
No. Watchd is made for iPhone: there’s no Android app and no web version.
Does Watchd sync between devices?
No. Your library is stored only on the iPhone where you use Watchd and doesn’t sync between devices.
To move it to a new iPhone, save a copy: Profile → Data → “Backup” → “Export”. Keep the file in Files or iCloud Drive, then open it on the new iPhone from the same screen with “Import”.
Can I import my library from Letterboxd or IMDb?
Yes. Watchd imports CSV files from IMDb and Letterboxd: Profile → Data → “Transfer data”.
It accepts IMDb exports (a list and your ratings) and Letterboxd exports (diary and watched films), as well as any CSV with Title and Year columns. Anything you’ve watched or rated goes to “Watched”, the rest goes to “Watchlist”.
Can I move my history from TV Time?
Yes, if you still have your export file. TV Time shut down after July 15, 2026, so a new export is no longer possible. To bring the file over: Profile → Data → “Import from TV Time”. Step by step: how to move your history from TV Time.
Is Watchd available in my country?
Watchd is on the App Store in almost every country, including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and India. It isn’t available yet in the European Union, Iceland and Ukraine.
What languages does Watchd support?
The Watchd interface is available in English, Russian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America), Japanese and Korean. If your iPhone is set to another language, the app will be in English.
How do I mark all aired episodes at once?
On the home screen, in “Now watching”, swipe a show’s card to the left and tap “Seen all”: every aired episode gets marked. A full swipe marks them right away.
How do I delete my data from Watchd?
In the app: Profile → “Delete all data” at the bottom of the screen, then “Delete Everything”. This erases your library, ratings, lists and watch history, and it can’t be undone. Deleting the app from your iPhone also erases all of its data.
Watchd doesn’t keep a copy of your data on any server, so there’s nothing else to do.
Where does Watchd get show and movie info?
From TMDB (The Movie Database). Titles, overviews, posters, episode lists and air dates all come from there.
